The Board of Women and Firefighting Australasia Inc. (WAFA) invites all current members of the Association to the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be conducted principally via teleconference on Monday 11 November 2019 at 6pm (AEDT*). Please RSVP by emailing the Board Secretary by Sunday 3 November 2019, after which the teleconference details will be provided.
Items on the Agenda are as follows:- Confirmation of the minutes of the 2018 AGM
- WAFA Annual Report, including audited financial statements
- Declaration of Elected Board Members
- Election of Office Bearers
- Any other business
All WAFA members are welcome to attend but only financial members of the Association are eligible to vote. In accordance with the Constitution, members are also entitled to vote by proxy — if you are unable to attend in person and would like someone to vote on your behalf, please fill in the attached proxy form and forward to the Board Secretary by Friday 8 November 2018. Call for Nominations
The Board welcomes nominations from interested members to join the Board of Women and Firefighting Australasia Inc. for a term of two (2) years. The Board Member Duties statement provides an overview of the expectations and commitment required of Board Member and Office Bearers.
With WAFA2020 to be co-located with AFAC2020 in Adelaide, there is plenty to get involved in for the next two years, so if you have a passion for advancing diversity and inclusion in the fire services and a drive for getting things done, consider nominating for the Board today!
