WAFA/FRSNSW PAT FAMS are back for 2023
The WAFA and FRNSW PATFAMS for 2023 are now finished. For more information on the FRNSW recruitment process please click here. On the FRNSW recruitment page you will find specific information that will assist you in training for the Fire and Rescue NSW Physical Aptitude Test (PAT). The Fire fit training guide and train like a firefighter video series have been specifically developed to assist you with your fitness journey.
The Women and Firefighting Australasia (WAFA) are hosting Physical Aptitude Test(PAT) information days for the Fire and Rescue NSW 2023 recruitment campaign.
Sessions are female-specific and will be held at the new FRNSW Emergency Services Academy. Sessions are 3 hours in duration and will include hands-on interaction with the PAT task course followed by a strength and conditioning workshop focusing on effective physical preparation for the PAT.

Important Information for Participants
- You will be asked to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test on entry.
- You must have read and understood all the information on this page.
- You must complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR‑Q) prior to participating and bring with you on the day. Your PAR‑Q will be cited by FRNSW on the day.
- Bring standard gym/exercise clothes, including joggers, water and towel.
- Bring leather-style riggers gloves (pictured below).
- Only PAT Information Day participants may attend these events i.e. no
- bystanders, family or friends.
- If you can no longer attend, please cancel to free the spot for someone else

PRIOR TO ENTRY
Fire and Rescue NSW is committed to ensuring the health and safety of everyone who enters our sites and are proactive in reducing the risks of COVID-19 transmission. Risk management procedures are in place for staff and visitors who attend Fire and Rescue NSW Stations, work sites, training facilities and offices.
Upon arrival at our Emergency Services Academy you will be required to undergo a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) if you test positive you will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
If any of the following applies to you at the time of your appointment, please do not attend this scheduled appointment and cancel your Eventbrite Ticket to free the spot for another candidate:
