Katie MacWilliams -

Katie has worked for the Depart­ment of Bio­di­ver­si­ty, Con­ser­va­tion and Attrac­tions and its pre­de­ces­sors for 11 years with a focus on land man­age­ment oper­a­tions and nature con­ser­va­tion, with a focus more recent­ly in fire man­age­ment. Katie has been involved with the Women in Fire Man­age­ment Action Plan work­ing group since its incep­tion and believes strong­ly in work being under­tak­en by the depart­ment to address areas of sys­temic uncon­scious bias and can see the ben­e­fit of the changes being applic­a­ble to all employ­ees cre­at­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for indi­vid­u­als, fam­i­lies and the organisation.
